The structural analyses carried out by DPO FLUID allow us to know the mechanical or thermal performance of different equipment before they are built. In general, its main objective is to calculate the mechanical or thermal stress produced in an equipment, knowing in advance if it will be able to support the loads to which it will be submitted during its useful life.
One of its utilities is the calculation of housing thicknesses (tanks, pipes, valves, silencers …) so that through this type of analysis can be made optimization projects to save costs of excess materials and weight in the equipment.
Other applications of these analyses can be aimed at evaluating whether the joints between the various bodies that make up a piece of equipment are strong enough. By performing these calculations during the design phase, safety coefficients can be applied in those areas where the stress that suffers the material is high.
