Fluid-dynamic analysis of heat transfer in a shell-tube exchanger
Optimization | Validation
Description
Project Description
In this study, the heat transmission in a shell-tube exchanger is simulated. The fluids used are water and oil, and the objective is to determine the minimum number of tubes necessary (with a specified morphology) to heat the water from 30 to 55 ºC. Three simulations are carried out with 18, 32 and 64 tubes and it is found that the highest number of tubes is required to achieve the desired transfer.
- Fluid dynamic analysis 87%
- Heat transfer 99%
- Multibody simulation 98%
- Post-processing 85%
- Steady state analysis 96%
