Project details
Fluid dynamic analysis of air flow inside a PC case
Optimization | Validation
Description
Project description
In this study, the air flow inside a PC is simulated to determine the optimal arrangement of the external fans that allows the greatest cooling in the computer’s processor. The equipment and fans are fully determined, and there are three possible air inlets / outlets. The results show that the highest cooling is obtained for the placement of two outlet fans (upper and rear side) and one inlet (lower side).
- Fluid dynamic analysis 99%
- Heat transfer 97%
- Multibody simulation 95%
- Post-processing 89%
- Steady-state analysis 93%
