Applications
Heat Exchange
The heat exchange simulations allow to know in a detailed way the thermal evolution of an equipment or system. Both the working fluids and the solid used for transfer are liable to be thermally analyzed.
Optimization
Since one of the most important parameters in the design of equipment of this type is the total transfer area, with this type of simulation the geometric configuration of each element can be optimized, maximizing this area with the lowest possible material cost.
Analysis
The phase change is another phenomenon that can be analyzed with this type of analysis so that it can be calculated the total mass of steam generated as a function of the heat involved in the transfer.
Other applications
Another application of these studies is the calculation of the heat losses generated in a a piece of equipment, which allows optimizing the amount of thermal insulation required.
